underwater cycling Triathlon Training for Beginners Tip 1 Where to Train

Triathlon Training!

You’re probably asking yourself – “Where do I begin?”

With jogging, running and cycling, virtually nowhere is out of bounds.

From treadmills and stationary bikes at the gym to the fresh air outdoors, your training possibilities are endless.

While some people never venture from the roads, others may choose to train on paths, trails and in local parks.

The sensible plan is to start training sessions closer to/or from home and venture further as you progress.

That way, you are never too far away if something should happen or you need help.

Remember safety first!

Swimming is obviously more limited.

Of the three triathlon disciplines, swimming is by far the most technical so it will pay dividends to find a pool with a coach.

To maximize the benefits of your swim training, plan sessions carefully.

Perfect your powers of concentration and focus your time in the pool.

The Essential Swimmer by Steve Tarpinian details this well and is staple for every triathlete to own.
